Upgrade to Firefox Quantum soon, or download the Beta today. If you’re already among the Firefox faithful, you’ll automatically upgrade to Firefox Quantum on November 14. But, if you enjoy the cutting edge, you can try it in Beta on desktop, Android, and iOS. There are still a lot of turns that adblocking can take. Opera just put into place a controversial new measure by adding a function in its latest beta version for its desktop clients: Opera Browser 37 includes its own already integrated adblocker. It also advises you to activate this adblocker in order to substantially increase browsing speed, which is fair enough.
The team behind the Opera browser released new versions of their product. You can download Opera 55.0.2994.13 beta and Opera 56.0.3013.0 developer update. Both features a number of interesting changes.

Opera 55 beta
New Settings page
The new page reminds of the Chrome's Settings page. It includes two categories: Basic and Advanced. Here is how it looks.
The official announcement describes it as follows:
Basic settings will appear first when opening the full settings page. Here, you will find settings for ad blocking, wallpapers, browser appearance, the sidebar, synchronization, search engines, making Opera the default browser and startup options.
Clicking the “Advanced” label at the bottom will expand the page with additional settings. This includes privacy and security, passwords and forms, VPN, battery saver, My Flow, search pop-up, video pop out, personal news, Opera Turbo, start page, user interface, languages, downloads, system, shortcuts and reset settings.
As of this writing, the new page can be disabled using the following flag:
Type the line above in the Opera's address bar and hit the Enter key. Disable the 'New md settings' flag.
The new Settings page includes the Search settings bar on top of the page, which allows finding options quickly.
New badge pop-up
Security badges provide important information about the current website or web page you are viewing. They tell you if a page has a secured connection, what the kind of certificate it has and which content settings are used.
Opera 55 beta expands this pop-up window to provide all information about the page at a single glance, as well as offering shortcuts for adjusting the page’s content settings.
Install Chrome extensions
Chrome’s extensions Web Store is now available in today’s Opera beta release. Now when you visit the Chrome extensions site, you’ll see a sliding toolbar on top of the page allowing you to install Chrome extensions on Opera.
Also, the Chromium engine was updated to a new version, 68.0.3440.42.

As you may remember, Opera was the only mainstream browser which didn't display the current page zoom level. Other modern browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox have such a control for many versions. Finally, the page zoom level indicator is now available in Opera. The feature was merged with version 56 from Opera 57 Developer.
You will be able to adjust the page zoom level for all web pages at once by visiting Settings > Basic > Appearance > Page zoom. If you have changed the zoom level for an individual web site, go to Settings > Advanced > Privacy and security > Content settings > Zoom levels.
Volume Control For Video Pop Out
In Opera 56 beta, you can control the volume on your video pop-out. The volume control looks as follows:
Disable the scroll to the top feature
The scroll to the top of the page feature allows the user to instantly scroll to the top of the web page by clicking on the active tab. Many of users requested to have the ability to disable or enable this feature.
Today's build features a new option option on the Settings page, under Advanced > User interface > Scroll on active tab on tab clicked.
